Monday–Thursday 10:00 am - 5:30 pm
Friday 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
Appointments may be made outside of normal business hours if needed.

Do I need an appointment?

No. You are welcome to come in whenever you would like.

I'm having a mastectomy soon. What will I need immediately following surgery?

Besides lots of tender loving care and plenty of water, you will need a post-surgical drain belt. Our post-surgical drain belts are one size fits most and have plenty of room for a comfortable fit.

How long will it be before I can be fitted for prostheses and mastectomy bras after my surgery?

We know you are anxious to feel like yourself again.

Your doctor will advise you on when to be fitted for prostheses and mastectomy bras, but generally, mastectomy patients can be fitted for prostheses 4-6 weeks after surgery.

You should be completely healed, with no drains, steri-strips, or bandages, prior to a fitting.

I heard that I could get a breast prosthesis that was made especially for me. How does that work?

Every woman is special, so we use American Breast Care's proprietary iPad app that has state-of-the-art 3D scanning technology for superior accuracy.

This technology allows us to scan your breast prior to surgery (or to scan your remaining breast) to design and create a breast prothesis that looks and feels as much like your natural breast as possible.

Will my insurance pay for a wig?

Some insurance plans will pay for a wig and some will not.

If you have a cancer policy, they often reimburse the beneficiary for a wig. We will help you check your policy details for coverage.

What type of wigs do you have?

We offer high-quality synthetic wigs in a variety of colors and styles.

If you are having chemotherapy and would like a wig that is similar to your hair style and color, please bring a picture.

Do you have lymphedema arm sleeves?

Yes, we carry lymphedema arm sleeves in a variety of colors and patterns. Come into the store to be measured to ensure a proper fit.

Do you have compression stockings?

Yes, we carry knee-high, thigh-high, and pantyhose-style compression stockings. Your doctor should prescribe both the style and the level of gradient compression appropriate for your needs and/or condition.

We also offer custom-made compression stockings with zippers. Come in for a consultation to order your comfortable, custom compression stockings with zippers.

Do you have mastectomy swimwear?

Yes, we carry swimwear all year long.
